What's All This Then?
The Manta Banta website was a vehicle for the rantings, ravings, match reports, articles, cup previews and reviews and general banter of those odd people known as itsagoal managers.
Sadly, that site withered away and festered, untouched, until it resembled a prune left out in the sun, picked at by shrew type creatures. Not a happy end at all huh?
No, but from that end comes a new beginning; a new, bright and shiny Manta Banta Blog. So, what's different? Well, this time, we're using Blogger, a widely used web based blogging tool with some nice features. One of which is to be able to have multiple authors. So, several managers can post their own features and articles without the need for poor old Webby to intervene and do the necessary. It all sounds good on (digital) paper don't it? Well, we'll see how it goes.

Gutted it's down; I'm mid negotiations with 2 players and hoped to put a last minute bid on a player who closes tomoro.
Also not set team for tomro, whcih with big cup match due is vital!!

I played my reserves last night and had not changed my team for tonight yet :-( Could well decide whether I win the Prem in Dragon this season or not!!

Yes, If you win against Alexandra County you will play Rangers Eagles.
(That was one of the results I was waiting for from tonights update).
If you anyone can't arrange their Cookies cup KO stage game then there is a spare day on Monday (Day 52).
There was another thread on here on the go last night. Can't find it now though.
And in response to kif, in times of trouble, MantaBanta is the place to go to.
Cookies Cup website is up to date now, only 4 KO ties haven't been sorted yet, they should be ready tomorrow (saturday).
Please try to play your games tomorrow or sunday but don;t forget there is a spare dayt on monday.

It continued last night first off by bcagfc.

I couldn't even begin to understand what's been said on this in the admin forums mikey, it's all gobbledegook to me.
The end result is that both Bosses have been around and some urgent..... well you know the rest.
Well at least we know that bosses are doing something ...

Has anyone else had problems with iag pages loading in the last few days? Like it doesn't work for 10 minutes then next time it is ok.

So rubbish! Just before the update i was bidding on a player with another manager. From 4.45 to 5 I actualy had to do some work so I know the other manager increased his bid in this time. So annoyed

The one before last was btw 2-2.30am; as managers like geordiewhite had posted things at about then, saying he was glad to have stayed up for it...
Likewise for the first time ever the alarm will be set; don't want an early round cup exit!!

vacant manager (olivier) said in a post this week that this happens when he applies for a team as vacant manager. what a cheese eating ferry blocker!! perhaps if enough of us get together we could go to la france and sort this out once and for all. watch him roll over and surrender like they always have done before after he see's a load of pissed off imaginary football managers on his doorstep.

IAG wasn't on at 2.10am (when my daughter woke me), however was working at 2.40am (when I'd set my alarm for!!)
Just had time to set team and training for both accounts!

Any managers who registered over the past couple of weeks will be well put off by now; I would be if I was new to it and found I couldn't get on. I wouldn't realise that it's only recently and quite rare; I'd presume the worse.

I only get to log on these days for a quick five minutes but was hoping to be able to keep the team ticking over until I can get back to my usual hours a day - these downtimes are really really not helping.
Well one thing is beyond dispute: this can't go on.
Sooner or later these downtimes must bring decisive action from the bosses, resulting in permanent fixes or ........ or ....... I can't bring myself to say it.
i dont think crumbs will be taking place this season, i have a feeling bearing will be leaving soon, followed probably by many others.

I was on for two minutes - desperatly trying to change my training as am killing my players. As I pressed save it went to the backing up database screen so probably hasn't worked :(
Going out in a minute not sure when I will get to log on again think fatigue levels might be over 50 for some players.

Presume it'll be another 2am start-up again...i cant be bothered to wait around this time. If we lose tomoro or have overly fatgiued players then that's life.

The latest problem didn't occur at an update did it?
Nope, it started playing up around 7-10pm GMT.
Had no probkem logging on but then it became extremely slow, pages were taking minutes to load and then no response at all.
Shall we start a new thread named 'more downtime', would be easier to get to the last post.
